The collection is inspired by Japan and the concept of Ikigai in particular.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that describes the pleasures and meanings of life, consisting of “iki” (to live) and “gai” (reason).

The concept of Ikigai rests on five pillars:

Pillar I - Starting small

Pillar II - Releasing yourself

Pillar III - Harmony and sustainability

Pillar IV - The joy of little things

Pillar V - Being in the here and now

According to the concept of Ikigai, sustainability is an art of life, requiring ingenuity and skillfulness. With sustainability being the guiding principle of Nomadissem, this collection has once more been governed by the third pillar but also by other aspects of Ikigai - detailed craftsmanship, the pursuit of quality and the focus on garments that transcend from work to pleasure, hence from being in the here and now to the joy of little things.
